Biogas – Odorant Analysis

The Biogas odorant analysis at Biogas Entry Facilities is based on a repeat signal from the producer to the distribution network. Laboratory spot samples and trained Rhinologists can only provide a snapshot in time and not continuous monitoring. The cost of advanced odorant analysers in multiple Biogas Entry Facilities would be impractical.

Innovation need

Gas Networks Ireland (Part of the ERVIA group) are interested in a cost effective method of secondary continuous monitoring to ensure compliance of odour intensity at Biogas Entry Facilities.
