Traceability of installed assets

One of our gas distribution network (GDN) partners is looking to improve its current system for tracing its assets – can you help?

For additional information about this opportunity click here: EIC Call for Innovation ‘Traceability of installed assets’

GDNs operate and manage vast networks with assets ranging in age, condition and location. To assist with quality management, all key assets need to be identifiable so that they can be replaced or recalled when necessary.

Product data, such as make, model and serial number etc., is currently recorded manually by network operatives on pro-formas which then requires manual input into an asset management system (SAP).

The GDN is looking for a cost effective solution that would provide simple, robust and reliable data transfer from the field directly into the SAP.

Where applicable the new solution would ideally integrate seamlessly with both existing processes and systems.

If you have the skill set or experience to contribute to this opportunity, register your interest by calling us on 0151 348 8040 and quoting the reference number GDN-15-10, or by completing the form below.

The deadline for registering initial interest in this call is 5pm, Wednesday 9th March 2016.

This is the latest in a series of calls for innovation, managed by the EIC, which offers innovators the opportunity to register interest and propose potential solutions to targeted energy distribution sector problems.
