Safety and Operational Framework for the temporary provision of alternative natural gas systems (SOFTPANG)

Currently there are currently no universal policies, standards, procedures or safety processes available to support the use of a temporary supply of gas.

This call for innovation aims to identify organisations that can provide an overarching framework which will allow natural gas supply equipment to be used safely and effectively across GB gas distribution networks during scheduled or unscheduled interruptions.

The solution is likely to include a desk-based study of the current landscape, a roadmap to adoption and a safety management framework.

More information about this opportunity can be found here.

The network operators are completely open to ideas and approaches to solve this challenge. Potential solutions can range from one single technology to several innovations that complement each other.
