Alternative Pre-Heat System

Gas distribution networks (GDNs) are responsible for safely transporting gas from the high pressure national transmission system (NTS) to customers’ properties for their everyday energy needs.

This process causes the gas temperature to drop significantly during the early stages. In order to avoid these levels dropping too low, the GDNs heat the gas prior to the pressure reduction process, known as pre-heating.

There are multiple methods on how this can be done safely but our GDN partner is looking for alternative techniques which could improve efficiency.
