26 Feb Innovation at the heart of Utility Week Live 2016
May 2016 sees the return of leading industry event Utility Week Live and the EIC is excited to once again bring innovation to the heart of the exhibition with the return of the Innovation Zone.
Over the two days more than 100 speakers, 150 exhibitors and 3,000 delegates will discuss the key theme of Innovation at Birmingham’s NEC. The theme will focus on the electricity, gas and water sectors, along with two new additions for 2016 – heat and streetworks. Skills, data and analytics, totex, resilience, and customers will also shape the debate.
For the second year, we will be hosting a dedicated Innovation Zone where we will be showcasing the latest game-changing innovations and solutions for the gas and electricity industries from our up and coming innovator community.
The Innovation Zone will be located within The Networks section which is dedicated to showcasing solutions and providing insight and intelligence for the gas, electricity and heat industries.
The main keynote conference will give VIP delegates the opportunity to review and discuss the work going on within the sector to tackle the challenges facing utilities, and also to learn from those outside the sector, exposing them to new ideas and innovations.
On the main exhibition floor, there will also be three seminar theatres, developed by the team behind Utility Week. These will feature agenda-setting talks and panel discussions from industry leaders, regulators and policymakers, including the Energy Innovation Centre.
Joining the electricity, gas, and water seminars – which return this year – are seminars on heat (on the afternoon of the first day) and streetworks (in the second half of day two). While a number of other show features will include the new Streetworks Village, the Pumping Station, and the 2016 edition of the popular Drilling and Tapping competition.
