Next week sees the beginning of world’s biggest business event, the International Festival for Business (IFB) 2016. The event, which is expected to attract 30,000 delegates from across the world, will be a buzzing marketplace for companies and the biggest international business festival in 2016.
Delivered by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) and the GREAT Britain Campaign, EIC is delighted to support the UKTI’s exciting programme of Energy sector events which will take place during week two 20th – 24th June and will showcase Britain’s energy opportunities.
23rd June 2016: Industrialisation to Innovation – How UK renewables are delivering global carbon reduction
On 23 June, EIC’s commercial manager, Lois Wiegand, will join 13 speakers including: Chris Chow, OFGEM, Frank Clifton, SSE Power Distribution, Ray Thompson, Wind Power UK – SIEMENS and Andrew Jamieson, ORE Catapult to share learning about how companies have already advanced technology, supply chains and relationships to deliver in the UK and abroad. With Europe’s largest investment in smart energy Research, Design, Development & Demonstration has confirmed technology capability, come and learn how the RIIO (Revenue= Incentives + Innovation + Outputs) regime incentivises deployment.
The UK is currently the largest and most experienced offshore wind market in the world. With capacity growing around the world, come and hear how some of the most successful offshore wind companies have advanced technology, supply chains and relationships to get ahead.
Energy from Waste is a significant provider of energy in the UK, currently providing roughly 10% of installed capacity.
